Our school would like your support in raising money for the charity Water Aid. All over the world people are suffering and are trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease. This is caused by water that is not safe to use and poor sanitation. Water Aid are working with communities to provide clean water. Due to the sheer scale of the crisis, they need all the help they can get. We would like to help make a difference with such a global problem.
Today is our collection day for your RAG BAGS - please drop off at the school this morning.
Your help is very much appreciated.
What a resounding success!
A group of St John's pupils did a brilliant job bag packing at Morrisons on Saturday 7 March - raising an amazing total of £499.83 The money raised is for Mrs Pickering's son James, who will be travelling to Nepal in June to help build a well needed school for the local children.
Walsall North Food Bank
On Thursday 18th September the pupils were invited to bring in an item for the Food bank (Walsall North) and in exchange they were allowed to come to school dressed out of uniform. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the much-needed items of food donated. Please see the ‘thank you’ letter received.
We have since had another 'Mufti Day' (just before Christmas) when we invited the children once again to donate their gifts to the food bank and in exchange they were then allowed to come dressed out of uniform. Once again we were inundated.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SUPPORT
