St John’s CE Primary Swimming Team:

Emily Brabbin                             Christopher Pedley

Emelia Maciejewska                      Callum Clay

Gracie Smith                               Jack Green

Katherine Hathaway                     Jack Dimmock

This term our school swimming team have been amazing. We entered two competitions that took place at Brownhills Specialist Sports College, winning both events. Our next gala also took place at Brownhills but this event was hosted by Shelfield Sports Partnership. Once again we won our heat then we had a tense wait to see if we had made it through to the Black Country Games but sadly we came second to Holy Trinity (well done to them). On the other hand Emily, Gracie, Jack G and Jack D where chosen to represent Walsall Primary Schools on the 23rd March. Emily was placed in the A team, Gracie, Jack D and Jack G - the B team. Both teams did exceptionally well with the A team winning the event and the B team coming 4th. Once again, a very well done to the whole team.

Our Year 3/4 Football Team have had a busy time over the last few weeks. On 16 September they won the Streetly Academy competition and on 01 October they were

awarded the 'Team work and Determination Award' for the valiant

efforts at the  Sainsbury Games held at the Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy. Well done boys!

They were given wrist bands and a certificate as seen opposite.
